Sales and Service Assistant Manager (Part‑Time)
Join our team in Wilmette, IL as a Sales and Service Assistant Manager (Part‑Time).
Reports to: District Manager
Position Status: Part‑time
Location: Wilmette, IL
Work Schedule: Monday‑Friday 9:30 AM–6:00 PM;
Saturday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (subject to change; able to work weekends)
Pay Range: $18.50–$19.50 per hour
Travel: 10‑25 % of the time
Job Description
- Effectively market and sell self‑storage solutions to potential customers.
- Work independently, spending time both inside an office and outside on the property.
- Maintain general property care, cleaning, and maintenance.
- Conduct a daily walk of the property to confirm spaces are ready for rent.
- Accurate payment processing and cash handling.
- Engage with customers to provide an exceptional experience.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Qualifications
- Experience in retail, restaurant, fast‑food, hospitality, customer service/sales, or self‑storage is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel 10‑25 % of the time; must possess a Real passport to travel to the San Antonio training center.
- Must meet physical requirements as listed below.
Physical Requirements
- Transport, lift, or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Walk and move around the property; spend up to 50 % of time outdoors, including climbing stairs and opening large doors.
- Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks (sweeping, mopping, maintaining curb appeal).
