Are you a veterinary professional looking for a fun, fast-paced environment where your work truly makes a difference? The Faithful Friends Animal Society (FFAS) Spay/Neuter Clinic is hiring licensed veterinary technicians and experienced surgical technicians to join our growing team!

Located in our brand-new facility in New Castle, Delaware, our clinic is part of a 27-acre property featuring walking trails and gardens. As a high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter clinic, we provide essential care to thousands of animals each year.

Position Overview

Full-time | 36-40 hours per week | Flexible schedule (Monday-Saturday shifts)
Salary: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
  • Safely restrain and handle cats and dogs, including difficult and large, unsocialized animals
  • Assist with patient check-in and discharge
  • Prepare and induce animals for surgery
  • Maintain accurate anesthesia and surgical records
  • Monitor animals under anesthesia and respond to irregularities
  • Prepare and maintain surgical packs and instruments
  • Keep prep areas clean and fully functional
  • Administer vaccines and medications
  • Handling chemicals and biohazardous waste (lifting up to 50 lbs required)
  • Work independently with minimal supervision after training
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (If you’re certified but not licensed in Delaware, we can help!)
  • 1+ year of veterinary surgical technician experience required
  • High-volume surgical setting experience preferred
  • Fear Free Certification preferred
