AboutThe Role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager who enjoys working directly with small business owners, understanding their financial story, and helping them make better decisions. This role is ideal for accountants who enjoy advising, explaining, and partnering with clients.
In this role, you will serve as the primary accounting partner for a portfolio of for‑profit clients. You will go beyond reconciliations and reporting: interpreting results, identifying opportunities, and providing practical guidance that helps clients grow.

Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary accounting and advisory partner for assigned clients, building trusted, long‑term relationships
- Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Analyze financial results and proactively discuss trends, risks, and growth opportunities with clients
- Evaluate client workflows and recommend improved processes and technology solutions
- Manage deadlines and deliverables across your client portfolio to ensure consistent, high‑quality service
- Mentor and review the work of junior team members, providing guidance and feedback to support development
You are a tech‑savvy, relationship‑oriented accountant who enjoys helping small business owners understand and improve their financial health.
You are comfortable switching between detailed accounting work and high‑level client conversations. You take pride in being reliable, organized, and thoughtful in your recommendations.
Qualifications Required- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of experience in small to mid‑sized business accounting or bookkeeping
- Experience supporting multiple‑entity or multi‑company clients
- Strong understanding of balance sheets and financial statement review
- Advanced Quick Books Online experience (used within the past 5 years)
- Ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear, approachable way
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Advanced technical and systems aptitude
