Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

We are seeking an Accountant for a permanent role in Wilmington, Delaware.

The Accountant will play a critical role in the non-profit organization's financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This position requires a proactive and experienced individual capable of handling the full cycle of accounting functions, with a specific focus on grant compliance, general ledger integrity, and preparing for external audits. A strong working knowledge of non-profit accounting principles and advanced proficiency in Quick Books are essential.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, with experience/knowledge of the non-profit sector.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Non-profit accounting principles and grant financial management.
• Experience with fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare for and support external financial audits.
• Knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with staff, board members, and external partners.
