Senior Tax Accountant

Responsibilities

• Tax Preparation & Compliance
  :
  Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Tax Planning & Strategy
  :
  Advise clients on tax-saving strategies, including tax implications of business decisions, mergers, and restructurings.
• Staff Supervision & Development
  :
  Assign tasks to junior staff, review their work, provide guidance on technical tax issues, and support their professional growth.
• Client Communication
  :
  Maintain regular communication with clients, addressing inquiries and ensuring timely completion of deliverables. Proactively follow up on outstanding information.
• Coordination with Management
  :
  Report to Tax Managers and Partners on engagement status, progress, and key issues. Assist with tax presentations and reports.
• Research & Technical Expertise
  :
  Stay up to date with tax laws and regulations. Conduct research to resolve complex tax issues and advise clients accordingly.

• Education
  :
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (24 credits in Accounting required).
• Experience
  : 3+ years in public accounting, with a focus on tax compliance and planning.
• Technical Skills
  :
  Proficiency with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, Pro System fx) and Excel. Quick Books experience is a plus.
• Attributes

  Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Excellent communication skills for client and team interaction.
