Senior​/Supervisor Accountant - Corporate Service

Description BLS, one of the largest and most established certified public accounting firms in Delaware, is seeking a professional with experienced technical skills in corporate accounting matters with an emphasis on Delaware Investment Holding Companies, including subsidiary set-up management, physical presence establishment and comprehensive accounting and tax planning services.

• Monitor receipts, pay incurred expenses and invoices, prepare wire transfers and maintain account balances for corporate bank accounts
• Monitor and prepare invoices for royalties and receipt of interest, dividends and royalty payments
• Maintain communications with clients, financial institutions and law firms
• Reconcile accounts, calculate income/loss, summarize records and post entries to general ledger
• Prepare trial balances with supporting financial statements, balance sheets and statements of operations
• Prepare and file tax returns, including employment, Delaware franchise tax, Delaware 1902(b) and other federal and state returns, as needed
• Prepare materials for board of director meetings and maintain correspondence, statements and other information in client files

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-4 years public or private accounting experience with an emphasis on corporate accounting
• CPA certification, evidence of working towards certification or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Some supervisory experience and client relations skills
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, Client Write-Up System software, Pro Systems software, Microsoft Office and other programs related to tax planning, depreciation, and accounting
