Senior/Supervisor Accountant
Position Overview
The Senior/Supervisor Accountant will be responsible for Auditing Employee Benefit Plans. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to manage a team of accountants to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure the integrity of financial data and adherence to internal policies.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including IRS requirements and internal controls.
- Provide expertise in employee benefit plans and retirement funds, including 401K and 403b plans.
- Prepare and file Form 5500 and other required documentation related to benefit plans.
- Support the organization in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or auditing roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with employee benefit plans and retirement accounting.
- CPA certification is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with IRS regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
