Real Estate Controller

Controller - Up to $165k + bonus potential

Our client, a growing real estate organization, is hiring a Controller to join their leadership team and oversee accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of financial operations, lead a growing accounting team, and partner closely with senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management, real estate, or project accounting and enjoy building processes, developing teams, and supporting continued growth.

100% Onsite

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, month‑end close, and financial reporting
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
• Maintain strong internal controls and improve accounting processes
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Oversee property and project accounting functions, including cost tracking and reporting
• Partner with Real Estate, Construction, and Operations teams
• Manage AP/AR processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
• Support audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with real estate, property management, or project accounting preferred
• Strong Excel skills required;
  Yardi experience is a major plus
