The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Wilmington, DE, responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day financial operations of Eastern Industrial Services, Inc. This position manages the preparation and review of financial statements, ensures accurate general ledger accounting, and supervises monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. The Financial Controller will lead financial reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide analytical insights to guide strategic and operational decision‑making.
Daily responsibilities include monitoring cash flow, coordinating audits, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and improving internal controls and financial procedures. The role collaborates closely with leadership and project teams to support cost management, project profitability, and long‑term financial sustainability.
- Candidates should possess strong Accounting and Finance skills, with experience in general ledger management and cost accounting.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparation, analysis, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support strategic decisions.
- Relevant skills and qualifications include proficiency in construction accounting software and ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with project-based or industrial services environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high ethical and confidentiality standards.
