Senior/Supervisor Accountant

The Senior/Supervisor Accountant will be responsible for auditing employee benefit plans. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to manage a team of accountants to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage and supervise the accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure the integrity of financial data and adherence to internal policies.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including IRS requirements and internal controls.
• Provide expertise in employee benefit plans and retirement funds, including 401K and 403b plans.
• Prepare and file Form 5500 and other required documentation related to benefit plans.
• Support the organization in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or auditing roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with employee benefit plans and retirement accounting.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with IRS regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
