• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM • $16.70/hour
The Delaware Division of Disability Determination Services (DDS) is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Specialist II to provide essential office administrative support at its New Castle office. This position handles document processing, mail operations, and office systems support — keeping daily operations running smoothly and efficiently. This is a state set‑aside position, and individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Remove paperwork and documents from office machines and process accordingly.
- Meter and process outgoing USPS mail; process and mail forms to claimants in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Scan documents and operate multiple system software platforms to support office workflow.
- Attend to office machines, including troubleshooting routine issues and ensuring equipment stays in working order.
- Complete all requests within one business day in accordance with established policy and procedures.
- Provide efficient, accurate work with the ability to meet deadlines and organizational goals.
- Manage time effectively to meet processing deadlines and prioritize daily tasks.
- Maintain attention to accuracy and detail in all aspects of work.
- Organize total workload so that all work receives timely attention according to priority.
- Assist with additional tasks across the office where support may be needed.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document handling and data processing.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet daily, same-day processing deadlines.
- Comfortable operating standard office machines (scanners, mail meters, copiers) and learning multiple software systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a varied daily workload.
- Ability to work independently and follow established policies and procedures consistently.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable in a structured office environment.
- Prior administrative, clerical, or office support experience preferred.
This role offers steady, predictable weekday hours in a structured state office environment. Your accuracy and follow-through directly support timely service to claimants who depend on DDDS.
