Front Desk Receptionist – Medical Office
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy medical office. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of incoming calls, patient check-ins, scheduling, and administrative responsibilities
.
- Answer and manage a high volume of incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
- Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional attitude
- Verify patient demographic and insurance information
- Collect copayments and other patient payments when applicable
- Check patients out and schedule follow-up appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records and protect patient confidentiality
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff, and other office personnel
- Respond to patient questions and direct calls to the appropriate department or staff member
- Manage messages and follow up on patient requests as needed
- Maintain an organized and welcoming front desk and waiting area
- Assist with general administrative and clerical duties
- Follow all office policies and applicable patient privacy requirements
- Previous medical office or healthcare front desk experience preferred
- Excellent telephone and customer service skills
- Ability to handle a high volume of calls while remaining calm, professional, and organized
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable learning and using electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling systems
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Bilingual skills are a plus
