Paving Superintendent

Experience: Mid Level

Salary: $95,000 - $175,000 per year

Job Details

As a Paving Superintendent, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all stages of paving projects, including planning, execution, and completion.
  • Coordinating and supervising the activities of paving crews and subcontractors.
  • Ensuring all paving work is performed in compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Developing and implementing project schedules, and managing changes as required.
  • Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality of work.
  • Identifying and resolving any issues or obstacles that may arise during the project.
  • Communicating effectively with project managers, clients, and team members on project status and updates.
  • Maintaining accurate records of project activities, including costs, timelines, and resources used.
  • Providing training and guidance to team members, and promoting a positive and safe work environment.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the paving or related construction industry, with a proven track record of successfully managing paving projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of paving materials, techniques, and equipment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and overcome challenges in a timely and effective manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as needed to project sites.
