Rate of pay: $15.00. Final compensation is based on factors such as the skills, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Provide percussion and drum line instruction to participants ages 7–17 with varying skill levels.
- Teach fundamental and advanced percussion techniques, including rhythm, timing, stick control, rudiments, and performance skills.
- Follow lesson plans, rehearsal schedules, and instructional activities.
- Prepare participants for performances, exhibitions, competitions, and community events.
- Evaluate participant progress and provide constructive feedback to support skill development.
- Ensure proper use, care, storage, and inventory of percussion instruments and equipment.
- Foster an inclusive environment that welcomes participants from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.
- Experience in percussion performance, drum line instruction, music education, or related field.
- Knowledge of percussion techniques, marching percussion, rhythm development, and ensemble performance.
- Experience working with youth ages 7–17 in educational, recreational, or community-based settings.
- Multilingual.
- Proven experience fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for youth participants.
