Wilmington Friends School is a Preschool to 12 Quaker, college preparatory, day school located in Wilmington, Delaware. The school enrolls approximately 720 students and is currently seeking an Upper School full time English teacher for the 2026-27 school year.

A highly qualified candidate for this position is one who:
Specifically, the highly qualified candidate will be able to teach all levels of English, grades 9-12. At each level, teachers hone students' reading, writing and speaking skills through the exploration of diverse works of literature. Creating a responsive and engaging classroom environment, providing regular individualized feedback to students, and being an active participant in the department's curricular development are essential components of the position.
Prior experience working within the International Baccalaureate diploma program is a plus.
