Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Wilmington, DE, for a Special Education-Math professional. The role involves developing and delivering tailored math instruction to students with special education needs, creating individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support student progress. The teacher will use evidence-based teaching strategies, such as Applied Behavior Analysis, to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Communication and collaboration with parents, caregivers, and staff will also be an integral part of the role.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Special Education methodologies and understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Strong skills in Applied Behavior Analysis and experience in creating inclusive and adaptive learning environments.
  • Effective Communication abilities to collaborate with students, parents, caregivers, and team members.
  • Passion for Education and prior experience working with children, particularly those with diverse learning needs.
  • State certifications or licensure in special education and mathematics teaching preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Mathematics Education, or a related field; master’s degree is a plus.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering growth and development in students.
