C. Lewis Dual Language Elementary School is seeking dedicated tutors to provide small‑group and individual academic support in Reading, Math, and Spanish Language Arts. The ideal candidates will have experience working in diverse school settings, a strong commitment to student growth, and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and specialists.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 10:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. (no Wednesdays)

• Prior experience in a school or educational setting (elementary level preferred)
• Experience supporting diverse learners, including multilingual students and those with learning challenges
• Ability to collect, track, and report progress monitoring data with accuracy and consistency
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to work independently after initial guidance
• Demonstrated ability to adapt curricular materials to meet student needs
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly preferred; bilingualism is required for the Spanish Tutor role
• Preference given to candidates with teaching certification or education‑related degrees

• Provide small‑group reading intervention using district‑approved materials (primarily phonics‑based programs)
• Support comprehension instruction for upper grades as needed
• Collect and record progress monitoring data with fidelity
• Collaborate with reading specialists and classroom teachers to align instruction
• Work independently during scheduled reading intervention times

• Provide small‑group math instruction using Bridges and pre‑selected curricular materials
• Plan and prepare materials aligned with pacing guides and student needs
• Record and report student progress data
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to reinforce key math skills

• Support students in Spanish during the delivery of math instruction within dual‑language classrooms

• Provide small‑group academic support in Spanish Language Arts and content areas
• Reinforce foundational literacy skills and vocabulary development
• Support bilingual and bi‑literate development aligned with the immersion model
• Collect and report progress data collaboratively with the classroom teacher

• Retired Red Clay Teacher – Per diem rate at time of retirement: varies
• Tier 1 – Master’s Degree in

• Tier 2 – Bachelor’s Degree in

  $33 /hour
• Tier 3 – Bachelor’s Degree (any major): $28 /hour
• Tier 4 – Associate’s Degree in Education or Junior/Senior in relevant program: $25 /hour
• Tier 5 – No Degree: $22 /hour
