Position Title:School Psychologist
Location: Wilmington, DE
Be a Champion for Student Success in an Urban School CommunityFocused Staffing Group is seeking an experienced and student-centered School Psychologist to support a school in Delaware. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in an urban educational environment and is committed to using data-driven, research-based practices to improve academic, behavioral, and social-emotional outcomes for students.
Minimum RequirementsMinimum of 1 year of experience as a School Psychologist (3 years preferred)
Required experience working in an urban school environment
Demonstrated success supporting teachers, students, and families to elevate student achievement
Strong understanding of effective pedagogy and intervention strategies that drive measurable results in urban classrooms
Ed.S., M.A., or Ph.D. in School Psychology
Holds or is eligible for State of Delaware Standard Certification as a School Psychologist
Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential through NASP
Strong knowledge of the roles and functions of a School Psychologist in educational settings
Experience with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and understanding of federal and state education regulations
Proven experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), developing Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), participating in manifestation determinations, and collaborative problem-solving
Conduct comprehensive psycho educational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education, including cognitive, achievement, adaptive, and social/emotional assessments, while meeting all School and State of Delaware timelines
Support the school's MTSS framework, including consultation with Problem-Solving Team members to review student response to interventions
Evaluate students' intellectual, academic, behavioral, perceptual-motor skills, emotional adjustment, and readiness for learning
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and assist in developing effective Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
Provide individual and small-group counseling services using research-based strategies
Deliver professional development for staff on behavior and classroom management, mental health and social-emotional learning, and academic learning supports
Serve as an active member of the School Crisis Intervention Team
Perform other related duties as assigned to support student success and school operations
