Spanish Teacher

Tatnall is seeking a dynamic and passionate Upper School Spanish teacher who can teach Spanish from the beginner to advanced levels and possibly expand the role by teaching other subject areas. The ideal candidate brings deep content knowledge, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine passion for teaching and connecting with students. They will foster a welcoming, inclusive, and intellectually engaging student‑centered classroom.

• Teach 4 sections of Spanish
• Ability to teach other languages, subject areas, or perform additional duties to fulfill FT status

• Demonstrates a student‑centered approach to education
• Designs and implements engaging lessons that develop critical thinking and real‑world connections
• Builds strong relationships with students and creates a supportive and positive classroom environment
• Provides clear, timely feedback to support student growth
• Shares a commitment for diversity, equity, and community through culturally responsive and identity‑affirming practices
• Works closely and collegially with students, faculty, administrators, and parents in a lively independent school setting.
• Participates fully in ongoing reflection, professional development, and collaboration with department members

• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Master’s degree preferred
• Three or more years of teaching experience is preferred; strong early career candidates will be considered, and mentorship is available
• Experience working with diverse groups of students and an appreciation for a range of learning styles
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
