Teens Make Health Happen (TMHH) Mentor – Health Corps

Philadelphia, PA & Wilmington, DE

6–8+ hours/week, academic year

• Meaningful Impact: Lead a wellness club in local high schools and empower youth.

• Professional Development: Receive training, mentorship, and leadership skill-building.
• College Credit: We partner with your university to support course or practicum credit.*
• Stipend: Helps cover transportation, meals, and other participation costs.

• Lead Teens Make Health Happen wellness clubs in 2–3 middle and/or high schools (3–4 hrs/week onsite).
• Mentor middle and high school students on wellness, leadership, and community projects.
• Support student-led activities (e.g., step challenges, lunchtime demos, school improvement events).
• Build relationships with school staff and teen wellness leaders.
• Track your impact through assessments and program documentation.
• Host monthly Café O’Yea wellness demonstrations.
• Share program highlights on social media.
• Represent Health Corps at school and community events.

• Undergraduate or graduate student in a related field (public health, education, social sciences, etc.)
• Take and pass background checks (criminal, child abuse, FBI fingerprinting, etc.)
• In good academic standing
• Able to commit 6–8+ hours/week for the  academic year
• Comfortable working with teens and presenting wellness topics
• Ability to travel up to 30 miles within Greater Philadelphia/Wilmington
• Able to lift up to 15 lbs
