Qualifications and

Experience:

• Valid certification to teach Special Education in K-12 settings (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred, though motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong understanding of the IEP process and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and student advocacy

Role Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Provide direct instruction and adapt curriculum materials to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress
• Track student growth, keep accurate records, and regularly communicate progress to stakeholders
