Job Qualifications:

Certificated and/or professionally licensed non-administrative employee of the Brandywine School District who works in the building where the position exists.
Good organizational/leadership skills.
Meets established deadlines.

Essential Job Functions:

Conduct monthly department meetings and issue an agenda, monthly minutes, and attendance records to the administration.

Complete and maintain an inventory of all textbooks, teacher materials, supplemental instructional resources, and supplies, providing such inventory to the administration.

Serve as liaison between department members and administration.

Serve as liaison with the District content specialist if there is a content specialist for the subject area.

Manage the department budget.

Order all materials for the department.

Plan the department goals and objectives.

Contact teachers and substitutes for concerns and/or problems.

Acclimate new teachers.

Attend District-level meetings as related to department issues.
