Early Childhood Leader

Placers is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Leader to oversee the strategy, operations, quality, and growth for an early childhood program in a new state of the art facility in Wilmington, Delaware.

This role will lead staff, curriculum implementation, compliance, family engagement, partnerships, and program outcomes.

• Lead and continuously improve early childhood programs and services.
• Oversee Montessori curriculum and program quality.
• Recruit, supervise, coach, and develop staff.
• Ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor program outcomes, documentation, and reporting.
• Support budgets, grants, contracts, and resource management.
• Build relationships with families, schools, and community partners.
• Lead staff meetings and professional development.
• Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-quality learning environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, Education Leadership, or related field.
• Progressive management experience in early childhood education.
• Strong working knowledge of Delaware early childhood licensing rules and regulations, including teacher qualification, credentialing, staffing, and classroom compliance requirements.
• Must meet Delaware Early Childhood Administrator requirements.
• Strong experience with Purchase of Care (POC) programs, including program administration, compliance requirements, eligibility, billing, and maintaining accurate enrollment/documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• DEEDS Early Childhood Administrator certification or ability to obtain within 45 days.
• First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 45 days.

• Strong working knowledge of Delaware early childhood licensing rules and regulations.
• Experience with Purchase of Care (POC) programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
