Behavior Specialist

We are seeking multiple School Behavioral Paraprofessionals across K - 12th. These are full-time, on-site positions that run through the end of the school year, supporting students and instructional staff to help maintain a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment.

What we Offer:

• Monday through Friday; 35 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch

• Starting pay is $25/hr. + (depends on experience and certifications)

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and/or classroom-based support to students as directed by the teacher and school team
• Assist students with academic activities, classroom routines, and daily tasks
• Support implementation of instructional and behavioral strategies
• Help students remain engaged and successful within the classroom environment
• Reinforce appropriate behavior and positive social interactions
• Assist teachers and other school professionals with classroom organization and student supervision
• Maintain student confidentiality and follow all school and district policies and procedures
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and other members of the school team

Required Qualifications:

• Active Delaware Para educator Permit or willing to obtain one
• Comfortable working with students with a variety of academic, behavioral, and developmental needs
• Flexible and willing to support students across different classroom environments and assignments based on school needs
• Patient, dependable, and able to maintain a positive and professional approach with students
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, and other members of the school team
