We are looking for a passionate and dedicated HSE Field Manager to support Life Sciences North America (LSNA) project portfolio. As part of our team, you will provide HSE support and leadership related to a project in Wilmington, DE/Conshohocken, PA.

You’ll partner with project and construction management as well as the Project HSE Director to lead HSE excellence and contribute to strategies to win pursuits that ensure no worker injuries or negative impacts to our client’s business continuity. This role supports Beyond Zero and provides overall leadership, management and direction to the team and client assigned.

You will take personal ownership to protect people from harm and drive HSE strategies and performance, supporting continuous improvement. You’ll maintain open communication with the Project HSE Director, project and peer HSE team members, and Construction Management to provide technical guidance, ensure alignment, and assure consistent implementation of HSE process tools that support strategic plans and objectives. You will provide visible support and leadership to clients and stakeholders through interpretation, training, technical review and support, regulatory guidance and governance oversight to ensure alignment and consistent implementation of the Jacobs HSE program.

You will lead or support incident notification, investigation and reporting, and facilitate injury management and return-to-work processes. You’ll assist in developing project-specific HSE plans, review subcontractor hazard assessments and deliverables, and participate in operational readiness reviews or other forums relevant to project success.

Project HSE Managers for Jacobs LSNA require the ability to balance multiple demands — supporting HSE staff in the field, providing leadership and vision to Project and Construction Managers, ensuring subcontractor success, fostering a culture of inclusion, and building trust with our client. This role requires flexible, effective communication across a wide range of stakeholders, empathy, and a commitment to delivering a project approach that keeps workers safe every day.

The real work is in the field where the team delivers it and relationships with team members are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide HSE support and leadership on assigned projects in Wilmington, DE and Conshohocken, PA, in collaboration with Project HSE Director and construction management.
  • Lead incident notification, investigation, and reporting; facilitate injury management and return-to-work processes.
  • Develop and review project-specific HSE plans and subcontractor hazard assessments; participate in operational readiness reviews or related forums.
  • Maintain open communication with HSE team members and construction management to ensure alignment and consistent implementation of HSE tools.
  • Provide interpretation, training, technical review, regulatory guidance, and governance oversight to support Jacobs HSE programatics.
Qualifications
  • A professional HSE certification and/or degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering or related field; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
  • At least 3 years of construction HSE experience and experience managing employees and supporting subcontractor safe work
  • Advanced level computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work with internal management, staff, contractors, clients and vendors
  • Experience implementing company and client safety program aspects at the field level with site workers
