We are seeking an Equipment Systems Specialist to support regional sales of Water Treatment and Pulp & Paper Chemicals. The role involves system specification, design, construction oversight, field installation, start‑up, and troubleshooting. As the primary equipment liaison for the sales force, the incumbent works independently to deliver cost‑effective and reliable systems, ensuring performance excellence in the field.
Key Accountabilities / Essential Functions- System Expertise (10%) – Advise the sales force on correct specification, installation, and operation of equipment systems.
- On‑Site Projects (20%) – Conduct scope‑out, design, and installation of feed equipment at customer sites.
- Project Management (20%) – Manage equipment project requests, applying the GEER/AFE process to secure proper approvals.
- Capital Asset Management (5%) – Track the field equipment pool, reduce idle assets, and coordinate vendor refurbishment or reuse to lower capital spend.
- Design Recommendations (5%) – Provide cost‑effective design options and procurement pathways.
- Sales Interface (5%) – Supply field sales with equipment manuals, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Product Management (10%) – Maintain an equipment product line, ensuring correct SAP coding and sustainable margin through pricing management.
- Vendor Qualification (5%) – Support the qualification of vendors for outsourced construction.
- Product Development (15%) – Facilitate design and support of equipment systems to enhance offerings and support product launches.
- Technology Transfer (5%) – Provide training and technical information to improve understanding of equipment technology.
- Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Science or another technical discipline (experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Experience – 5+ years in the industry, with demonstrated project management of complex projects.
- Relationship Management – Strong ability to build and maintain relationships across multiple levels.
- Technical Acumen – Proven track record of solving complex, non‑routine technical problems.
- Autonomy & Leadership – Ability to work independently and to coach both direct and indirect reports.
- Learning Agility – Quick adoption of new concepts and technologies.
- Organizational Navigation – Experience achieving results within a multi‑level organization.
