Job Summary
Position:
Land Development Engineer III, located in Wilmington, DE. This role works with multidisciplinary design teams and supports high-impact site development projects across Delaware, covering site layouts, grading, stormwater management, erosion control, water and wastewater utility design, and permitting.
- Assist Project Managers with technical and civil engineering design.
- Perform technical engineering work associated with land development: stormwater management design, site grading and utility design, erosion and sedimentation control design.
- Prepare plans for agency/municipal review.
- Complete various land development and environmental permitting applications.
- Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution.
- 4‑10 years of experience in land development civil‑site engineering design.
- Professional Engineering License required.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD SSA or other stormwater modeling software.
- Knowledge of green infrastructure practices such as bioretention systems, permeable pavement, infiltration systems, and green roofs.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Strong critical thinking, self‑motivation, willingness to learn through trial and error, and the desire to grow and advance as an engineer or technical designer.
Salary Range: starts at $85,000 and is based on position, experience, and licensures.
