The Ion Exchange Resins business within Water Solutions is seeking a Process R&D Laboratory Technologist to join our team at the DuPont Experimental Station in Wilmington, Delaware.
In this role, you will contribute to customer-focused projects, building the technical expertise and product knowledge needed to solve real-world challenges while supporting our manufacturing plants in delivering high-quality solutions. Your work will help advance sustainable technologies that conserve water and energy, reduce environmental impact, and create greater value for our customers.
We are seeking motivated candidates with 2-5 years of industrial laboratory experience who are eager to learn, solve problems, and make an impact. Training in DuPont's core ion exchange resin technologies will be provided.
** How You'll Make an Impact*
* + Synthesize, functionalize, and evaluate polymer materials to support the development of new products and manufacturing processes.
+ Apply ion exchange resin technology to address processing, separation, and purification challenges.
+ Perform laboratory testing and characterization of polymer and aqueous systems to generate data and guide technical decisions.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams of scientists and engineers to achieve project objectives and business goals.
+ Analyze experimental results and communicate findings, conclusions, and recommendations to technical teams and management.
+ Manage laboratory operations, including ownership of process and analytical equipment, maintenance of procedures, and documentation.
+ Champion a strong safety culture by adhering to laboratory safety standards and promoting safe work practices.
** Required Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
+ 2-5 years of experience in an industrial laboratory environment, which may include relevant internship or co-op experience.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Experience synthesizing, functionalizing, and/or testing polymer materials.
+ Familiarity with ion exchange resins and laboratory-scale packed bed systems.
+ Experience characterizing polymers, aqueous systems, or related materials using analytical techniques.
