Job Responsibilities
Conduct and facilitate the game by providing the rules of the game to participants, according to established requirements.
Ability to calculate odds quickly and accurately to pay winning bets and collect losing bets.
Ability to determine the appropriate chip denominations for cash received.
Must be cognizant of the security of the game being played and notify the appropriate member of Poker Room management of any irregularities and/or attempts to cheat while the game is being played.
Provide our guests with fast, fun, friendly, joyful, focused service.
Communicate (both written and verbal) with and promote positive team member and guest relations.
Maintain professionalism at all times when working with other team members and/or guests.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Job RequirementsPrevious dealing experience preferred.
Knowledge of multiple table games preferred.
Successful completion of dealer school/program required.
Strong hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity skills are preferred.
Must successfully pass an audition to determine the performance levels and abilities.
Must be able to complete and maintain the background check and licensing process required by the Delaware Gaming Enforcement/Lottery during employment.
Must have strong math skills, with the ability to calculate numbers quickly & accurately.
Must possess strong money-handling and documentation skills.
Must be able to wear and appear comfortable in the assigned uniform provided by Delaware Park.
Must be able to sit for at least a full eight (8)-hour shift.
Ability to bend, reach, pull, push, kneel, squat, and grasp as needed.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to perform duties at station assignments that are busy with limited space, have high volumes, diverse clientele, noise, music, minimal and/or bright lighting, and variation of climate control.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers, and management is mandatory.
Must be able to handle all types of guest-related situations, relay all guest compliments and complaints to Table Games Management
