Finance & Restructuring Associate AttorneyAmLaw 100 Opportunity
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Finance & Restructuring Associate Attorney to join its Wilmington office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in working on sophisticated leveraged finance, private credit, asset-based lending, restructuring, and special situations transactions within a highly respected national finance platform.
The Role- Senior and mezzanine debt transactions
- Asset-based lending facilities
- Cash flow lending transactions
- Private credit and direct lending matters
- Sponsor finance and acquisition financings
- Unitranche and junior capital transactions
- Workout, restructuring, and special situations matters
- Drafting and negotiating complex loan and financing documents
- Direct client interaction and substantive deal responsibility
- Collaboration with a sophisticated national finance and restructuring team
- Approximately 3–5 years of corporate finance experience
- Experience with leveraged finance, private credit, asset-based lending, sponsor finance, acquisition finance, or restructuring transactions strongly preferred
- Experience gained at a large law firm finance practice preferred
- Strong drafting experience involving credit agreements, security agreements, intercreditor agreements, and ancillary financing documents
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school required
- Delaware bar admission preferred or ability to become admitted in Delaware
- Sophisticated national finance and restructuring platform
- Exposure to private equity sponsors, commercial lenders, private credit funds, and institutional investors
- Significant client contact and deal responsibility
