Position Overview

Director – Fund Accounting. Hybrid work schedule in Wilmington, DE (three days in office). Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Time on‑site or time zone may be necessary based on business need.

Responsibilities
  • Manage client relationships, including onboarding new clients, reviewing fund documents, and overseeing the set‑up and renewals of existing client engagements.
  • Understand clients’ businesses to identify opportunities for additional fund services and cross‑sell other CSC products.
  • Review accounting records, financial statements, and supporting schedules, including waterfall calculations (GAAP & OCBOA).
  • Review SBA compliance reporting, including SBA Form 468.
  • Review capital call and distribution calculations and letters.
  • Assist internal teams with all client deliverables.
  • Ensure that best practices are used by the client service team and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Allocate staffing/resources for the client service team.
  • Develop career pathways and manage talent development for team members.
  • Lead special projects as required.
  • Perform internal responsibilities such as status reports and time tracking.
Qualifications
  • BS Degree in Accounting; CPA or CFA preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in portfolio/investment and partnership accounting and 5+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP for investment companies.
  • Thorough understanding of key terms of fund documents.
  • Tech savvy, e.g., advanced Excel skills and ability to learn and navigate web applications.
  • Private equity accounting software experience preferred.
  • Ability to multi‑task and perform tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Experience delegating to, training, and supervising multiple staff.
  • Experience managing multiple client relationships.
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
