Overview
As a Strategic Analytics Associate within Risk Management and Compliance at JPMorgan Chase, you will help keep the firm strong, resilient, and responsible by anticipating new and emerging risks and using expert judgement to solve real‑world challenges that impact the company, its customers, and the communities it serves. Job Responsibilities- Develop and maintain periodic analytics to provide management with insight into emerging trends and quality of originated accounts.
- Attain a detailed understanding of key performance metrics and profitability drivers, delivering insights across the full account lifecycle.
- Acquire an understanding of operational processes (e.g., manual underwriting, portfolio management, collections) to identify acquisition performance drivers.
- Conduct complex analysis, including data collection, analysis, visualization, and presentation of results to partners and management in support of card acquisition strategies and new product/feature initiatives.
- Support formulation of risk strategy and product roadmap, partnering with and influencing cross‑functional teams.
- Manage risk strategies to drive financial performance and risk mitigation improvements while innovating to ensure optimal strategy performance with a growth mindset.
- Work closely with Risk Governance, Legal and Compliance to ensure policies comply with laws and regulations.
- Conduct ad‑hoc analytics and contribute to various projects representing Risk Management.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline from an accredited institution;
Master’s degree preferred. - Minimum 3 years of experience in Risk Management or a related quantitative role.
- Background in statistics, econometrics, finance, or other quantitative field.
- Highly skilled in SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau.
- Ability to query large data sets and transform raw data into actionable information for management.
- Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem‑solving skills to logically structure analyses.
- Experience delivering recommendations to senior management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
