The Fiscal Associate II position involves applying complex fiscal and financial functions to process tax returns, including withholding, gross receipts, and business-related returns. The role requires advanced technical knowledge to apply state and federal laws and regulations, with potential cross-training across multiple tax processing areas. Incumbents review source documents, verify transaction classifications, maintain financial records, and prepare reports using automated information systems.
Keyqualifications:
- Six months' experience processing accounting, auditing, or payroll transactions following applicable laws and regulations
- Six months' experience determining compliance of financial transactions with required documentation and codes
- Six months' experience preparing financial reports combining data from multiple sources
- OR possession of Associate's degree or higher in Accounting or related field
- Proficiency with commercial and proprietary automated information systems and computer software
