Position
Purpose:
The Housekeeper performs housekeeping duties for the hospital’s Environmental Services Department.
- Provide routine cleaning service to assigned areas and predominantly to nursing units to ensure a safe and clean environment, by following established procedures and schedules.
- Meets all scheduling requirements and direction from supervisors to complete routine housekeeping/laundry services.
- Dust and wet mopping of floors, vacuuming, dusting and damp wiping of surfaces, wall washing, trash collection and removal, cleaning of restrooms and patient areas, and non-clinical areas and all other assigned duties.
- Sort, load and unload linen into and from dryers. Feed/receive linen into or from ironer/folder.
- Fold and stack linen and load cart.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
- HS diploma or equivalency (preferred)
- 1-2 years EVS/Housekeeping experience
