The Medical Director – Dyslipidemia supports the development and execution of US Medical strategy for dyslipidemia and related assets. This role translates disease area and brand priorities into actionable medical execution plans, coordinates cross-functional execution, and helps ensure medical activities are aligned to clinical, scientific, customer, healthcare environment, and business needs. The role requires understanding of the disease area and the evolving US healthcare environment.

It also requires inspiring change at scale through coordinated medical strategy, external scientific engagement, and transforming care initiatives. It is a key medical role that reports directly to the Medical Head – Dyslipidemia, within the Bio Pharmaceuticals Business Unit’s US Medical CVRM franchise.

What you’ll do:
  • Lead the development, delivery, and evolution of disease area and brand medical execution strategies and plans
  • Through partnership and innovative thinking, identify external insights, customer needs, healthcare environment trends and opportunities to transform care that inform medical planning and execution
  • Lead the development and execution of scalable and sustainable transforming care initiatives aligned to disease area and medical strategic priorities.
  • Identify and advance opportunities to accelerate adoption of evidence-based care through partnerships with healthcare systems, scientific societies, quality organizations, and other external collaborators.
  • Coordinate cross-functional medical initiatives across Medical Affairs, Commercial, HEOR, Market Access, R&D, Field Medical and other partners to ensure aligned execution and enable large-scale change in care delivery
  • Maintain and strengthen key External Scientific Engagement (ESE) relationships across healthcare systems and other collaborators to advance disease area priorities, scientific exchange, and transforming care objectives.
  • Support the planning and implementation of product and disease area Advisory Boards, including objective development, collaborator engagement, insight generation, and follow-up action planning.
  • Contribute to publication plans, evidence generation initiatives, medical education activities and scientific communication deliverables
  • Partner with Senior Medical Directors and cross-functional teams to provide medical input for regulatory, labeling, preparation for product introduction, and lifecycle management activities
Essential for the role:
  • MD, PhD, PharmD, or other advanced healthcare/scientific degree
  • Medical/clinical/scientific understanding of CVRM and dyslipidemia, with ability to apply disease area knowledge to medical planning, external engagement and execution
  • 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in Medical Affairs, Evidence Generation, HEOR, Clinical Development or a relevant Medical / Healthcare field
  • Strategic and goal-oriented thinker with ability to translate complex medical priorities into clear plans, deliverables and approaches that inspire change at scale
  • Demonstrated track record delivering results in a complex matrix environment and supporting impactful medical initiatives
