Job SummaryThe Compensation Specialist participates in the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs. This role involves compensation analysis, benchmarking, reporting, and problem‑solving in support of those programs, as well as participation in compensation surveys and ad‑hoc benchmarking and market research. The Specialist also assists with the annual year‑end process and may administer various reward and recognition programs and compensation software platforms enterprise‑wide.
EssentialJob Functions
- Lead in-depth analyses of current compensation programs, identifying areas for improvement and alignment with market trends.
- (35%) - Provide strategic advice to HR and senior management on compensation‑related decisions and policy development.
- (25%) - Oversee the collection, validation, and reporting of compensation data to support decision‑making processes.
- (10%) - Conduct comprehensive market research to inform compensation strategy and maintain competitiveness.
- (10%) - Ensure all compensation practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- (10%) - Assist in the development and administration of compensation programs, including incentive plans, reward and recognition programs, annual merit and incentive compensation cycle, and compensation vendor management.

- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years experience in compensation analysis, with a demonstrated ability to handle complex analytical work
- Bachelor’s Degree Business, Finance, Psychology, Human Resources, or other related field

Work Environment- Normal office environment. (Remote or Hybrid), 3 to 4 days per month are required in office if within 60 miles of a Bread Financial location.

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.
