Manage all aspects of the WCC Human Resources Department at the facility level on a day‑to‑day basis, ensuring consistent implementation of Legends Global corporate goals, policies, and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Follow Legends Global Human Resources policies and ensure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations.
- Maintain compliance with state employment regulations.
- Administer various HR plans and procedures for all staff.
- Perform recruitment activities, including preparing job requisitions with approval from Department Head, Director, and General Manager.
- Recruit, interview, test, and select employees for vacant positions with approval from Department Head, Director, and General Manager.
- Plan and conduct new employee orientations.
- Administer Workday HRIS data entry for all employee activities.
- Handle personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and maintain government reporting statistics.
- Maintain records of benefits plan participation (insurance, 401(k), etc.) and related personnel transactions.
- Conduct employee relations investigations and advise management on resolution of employee relation issues.
- Advises corporate office on EEOC complaints and other employee relations problems.
- Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Administer affirmative action plans, performance review, and salary administration programs.
- Administer benefits programs, including life, health, dental, disability insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
- Investigate accidents and prepare reports for insurance carriers.
- Serve as COBRA and FMLA Administrator for the facility.
- Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conduct exit interviews.
- Lead quarterly staff meetings, preparing PowerPoint presentations and collaborating with department heads.
- Chair Employee Engagement Committee to foster a healthy, inclusive, and engaging culture throughout the organization.
- Conduct new hire onboarding orientation training.
- Partner with department heads on new hire departmental training programs.
- Assign new hires to Academy training where applicable and follow up for completion.
- Coordinate training and train managers in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance management, safety, and sexual harassment topics.
- Interview, hire, and train employees.
- Plan, assign, and direct work.
- Appraise performance, reward, and discipline employees.
- Address complaints and resolve problems.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from a four‑year college or university. - Experience:
3+ years of related experience and/or training, and experience administering benefit programs. - Workday experience required;
Workday recruiting experience preferred. - HR certification preferred.
- Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of HR administration, training and development, analytical and problem‑solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication, professional appearance, familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and related regulations, ability to work independently and keep confidential information, multitask and prioritize, interact with all levels of management. - Computer
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Workday. - Physical Demands:
