VP - Data Product Specialist

As a Product Vice President in Card Data Product, you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers and partners. You will leverage capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs. This role presents the opportunity to drive strategy and implementations of analytical data products for our businesses and customers that can improve our business insights and ability to serve our customers.

You will drive new Core Data Products in the Lake based on understanding the business strategy and customer needs.

• Define the product roadmap, vision, development, execution and risk management and effectively communicate the business outcomes the roadmap is intended to facilitate
• Coach and mentor the Core Business Data Product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods. Help uplift the team to develop a product mindset to tell a story of the importance of data, generative AI solutions and how they drive business outcomes and enhance our customers experience.
• Partner with data owners, engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant data product solutions and generative AI solutions.
• Analyze data, extract actionable insights, and connect findings to business strategy, highlighting the importance of data quality and centralized data management in a data lake.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and user stories for development teams.
• Own product performance and be accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives.
• Lead modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy systems to cloud-native architectures such as AWS and Data Lake.
• Develop a strong partnership with stakeholders; communicate product updates, influence the importance of data to the organization, progress and strategy to stakeholders, including executives and customers.
• Experience in API-first product design, data governance, and real-time data processing.
• Proven success in delivering enterprise-scale data products with measurable business outcomes.
• Hands-on exposure to tools such as Snowflake and can dive into the detail.

• 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications.
• Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design and data analytics.
• Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition and value management.
• Experience in driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions.
• Structured thinker and effective communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with different data environments such as AWS S3, Snowflake and Data Bricks.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience with them.
• Technical knowledge of data engineering, data pipelines, data modeling and data architecture.

• Recognized thought leader within a related field.
• High proficient in data querying with languages as Python, R, Perl, SQL.
• Experience in product development.
• Subject matter expertise in the Credit Card area.
