The Desktop Support Specialist III provides high-level technical support for in-house teams, managing the full lifecycle of desktop computing and resolving escalated helpdesk tickets.
Key Responsibilities- Ticket Management: Rapidly respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets.
- System Deployment: Build and configure new user workstations (PCs, images, phones, peripherals, and user accounts).
- Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve complex issues involving software, basic networking, and printing.
- Connectivity: Ensure desktop systems interconnect seamlessly with administrative, conferencing, and validation systems.
- Vendor Liaison: Partner with third-party vendors to resolve specialized hardware and software issues.
Experience & Skills
- Years of
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in a Desktop Support or Technical Support role. - Customer Service: Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven "customer-first" approach.
- Technical Skill: Hands-on experience troubleshooting PC hardware, desktop images, and enterprise software.
- Sector
Experience:
Previous experience working within Government or State & Local Government environments is highly preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications (A+, Network+, etc.) are a plus.
- Availability: Must be able to work 100% onsite in Wilmington and manage daily parking requirements.
