Security Architect - Contract to Hire

Our client is seeking a Security Architect to design and implement enterprise-wide cybersecurity architecture. This strategic role will shape their security vision, drive innovation, and ensure alignment with industry best practices across cloud, on-prem, and AI-driven environments.
- Design and manage enterprise security architecture across EDR, SIEM, WAF, firewalls, cloud, and on-prem systems.
- Lead development of secure integrations, RESTful APIs, and automated threat detection using AI tools.
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and other frameworks.
- Drive incident response, threat modeling, and risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security across the tech lifecycle.
- Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies to continuously strengthen security posture.
- 10+ years in IT, including 5+ in cybersecurity and 3+ in a senior architect role.
- Hands-on experience with EDR, SIEM, WAF, firewalls, cloud/on-prem security, and AI-based tools.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, incident response, and enterprise security design.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Scripting/automation (Python, Bash).
- Experience in large enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of privacy laws, data governance, and compliance.
- Familiarity with Express.js, Spring Boot, Graph
QL, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
