Job SummaryBusiness Technology Architect provides leadership in Information Technology, contributing to the development of long-range strategic plans and directing implementation of near-term IT strategies. Sets the Technology direction and solution choices at the enterprise or domain level. Evaluates IT developments, identifies IT needs based on evolving requirements within a business unit or across the enterprise, and recommends new systems/solutions or enhancements to existing systems/solutions.
In alignment with TOGAF® Standard, the Senior Director, Enterprise Architecture is accountable for establishing and sustaining the Enterprise Architecture Capability that enables effective strategy execution, investment decision-making, and governed change across the enterprise. Business Technology Architect reports into the Lead Enterprise Architect.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Establish & Lead the Enterprise Architecture Capability improves over time.
- Own Enterprise Architecture Vision & Principles
- Govern Target-State & Transition Architectures
- Architecture Governance & Compliance
- Support Portfolio & Investment Decisions
- Enable Federated Architecture Across IT & OT
- Maintain Architecture Repository & Knowledge Base
- Architecture Change & Continuous Improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a technical related field
- 10+ years of experience working in a similar global role
- Senior enterprise architecture leader with deep experience defining, operating, and maturing an enterprise-wide EA capability aligned to business strategy.
- Strong strategic and governance expertise, including setting EA vision and principles, chairing architecture governance bodies, and enforcing decision rights and standards.
- Proven transformation architect, able to define target-state and transition architectures across business, data, application, and technology domains while balancing risk, compliance, and value.
- Portfolio and investment advisor, providing architectural input to funding decisions, identifying duplication and risk, and ensuring alignment to approved target architectures.
- Experienced in federated and IT/OT environments, balancing global standards with local operational needs across manufacturing, R&D, supply chain, and corporate systems.
- Owner of EA knowledge and assets, ensuring architecture artifacts are current, discoverable, and actively used by delivery teams and executives.
- Executive-level communicator and people leader, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and leading enterprise, domain, and solution architects.
- Formally grounded in EA practices, typically with TOGAF® or equivalent certification and extensive, progressive architecture leadership experience.
- Previous or current DuPont expereince is strongly preferred
