Job Description:
Scrum Master Role Summary The Scrum Master is responsible for enabling and driving end-to-end Agile delivery within a regulated banking technology environment. The role focuses on execution discipline, delivery predictability, release coordination, and risk management across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure backlog items are refined, prioritized, and ready for sprint execution Lead sprint planning and support 30/60/90-day delivery planning Facilitate Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives Manage sprint execution with focus on predictability and delivery outcomes Coordinate end-to-end release readiness, deployment, and validation activities Identify, track, and manage risks, dependencies, and impediments Ensure alignment with SDLC, security, compliance, and governance requirements Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering, QA, and stakeholders for delivery alignment Monitor Agile metrics such as velocity, cycle time, and sprint predictability Drive continuous improvement in Agile practices and delivery efficienc
Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or Technical Program Manager Strong experience in Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence for backlog management and reporting Experience managing end-to-end delivery including planning, execution, and release coordination Demonstrated ability to manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations
Preferred Qualifications Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) Experience in banking or financial services industry Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle and release management Strong communication, facilitation, and leadership skill Day-to-Day
Activities:
Conduct daily standups and ensure blockers are identified and resolved Facilitate sprint planning, refinement, review, and retrospective meetings Maintain and update Jira boards, dashboards, and delivery metrics Track sprint progress and ensure commitments are met Coordinate with multiple teams for dependency resolution Prepare and support release planning and deployment activities Monitor risks and escalate issues impacting delivery timelines Work with Product Owners to ensure backlog readiness and prioritization Communicate status updates to stakeholders and leadership Support post-release validation and issue resolution
