We have partnered with our client in their search for a Java Application Support Engineer in Wilmington, DE.
Responsibilities- The role is focused on:
- Vulnerability remediation
- FARM findings
- Bug fixes
- Minor enhancements
- Keeping the application running
- Upgrades such as Node.js / other dependency upgrades
- Current volume is very high: around 700 vulnerabilities opened in 3 days on the application.
- Estimated work split:
- Around 80% vulnerability/finding remediation and keep‑the‑lights‑on work
- Some feature work or new development if capacity allows
- Potential feature development on the newer events system if they move quickly through support backlog.
- any automation tool: selenium, uft
- Expert level Jira
- API testing
- Jules, Jenkins
- SQL
- Strong debugging skills.
- Knowledge of network protocols is important due to the type of application support.
- Strong communication skills because they will work across multiple teams.
- Strong organization skills due to paperwork and documentation required to close findings.
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience, though strong candidates with 2 years may be considered.
