Java Application Support Engineer

We have partnered with our client in their search for a Java Application Support Engineer in Wilmington, DE.

• The role is focused on:
  • Vulnerability remediation
  • FARM findings
  • Bug fixes
  • Minor enhancements
  • Keeping the application running
  • Upgrades such as Node.js / other dependency upgrades
• Current volume is very high: around 700 vulnerabilities opened in 3 days on the application.
• Estimated work split:
  • Around 80% vulnerability/finding remediation and keep‑the‑lights‑on work
  • Some feature work or new development if capacity allows
  • Potential feature development on the newer events system if they move quickly through support backlog.

• any automation tool: selenium, uft
• Expert level Jira
• API testing
• Jules, Jenkins
• SQL
• Strong debugging skills.
• Knowledge of network protocols is important due to the type of application support.
• Strong communication skills because they will work across multiple teams.
• Strong organization skills due to paperwork and documentation required to close findings.

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 3 years of experience, though strong candidates with 2 years may be considered.
