Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to join our team in Wilmington, DE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, with a focus on Azure and database administration. This role requires a strategic thinker who can design and implement cloud solutions that meet business needs while ensuring optimal performance and security.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Manage and optimize cloud resources, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture and strategy.
- Oversee database administration tasks, including performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
- Develop and maintain cloud governance policies and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends to drive innovation.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement security measures to protect cloud environments.
Mandatory
Skills:
- Proven experience in Azure cloud architecture and services.
- Strong database administration skills, particularly in AWS and Azure environments.
- Expertise in cloud security best practices and compliance.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
Skills:
- Experience with Dev Ops practices and tools.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and cloud networking solutions.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools for cloud environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in cloud architecture and database administration.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified:
Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
