Senior QAD Techno-Functional Consultant
We are seeking an experienced Senior QAD Techno-Functional Consultant to support, enhance, and optimize QAD ERP solutions within an ITAR-controlled manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise across QAD functional and technical areas, including QAD Enterprise Edition (EE), QAD eB2, Progress Open Edge development, customizations, integrations, and production support.
The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, develop enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver ERP improvements that support manufacturing operations and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide techno-functional expertise across QAD ERP modules and related business applications.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain QAD customizations, reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements using QAD EE and Progress Open Edge.
- Support QAD production environments by troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
- Participate in full lifecycle activities including requirement gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Collaborate with business users to identify process improvements and optimize QAD system utilization.
- Develop functional specifications, technical design documents, test plans, and support documentation.
- Perform unit testing, system testing, integration testing, and support UAT activities.
- Assist with QAD implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and transformation initiatives.
- Monitor application performance, track issues, provide status updates, and communicate risks and mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, change management procedures, and ITAR requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience working with QAD ERP as a functional consultant, technical consultant, or techno-functional consultant.
- Strong hands-on experience with QAD Enterprise Edition (EE) and QAD eB2 environments.
- Experience with QAD manufacturing modules and business processes.
- Strong knowledge of Progress Open Edge development and QAD customization techniques.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and production environments.
- Ability to analyze complex business processes and provide effective ERP solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
ITAR Compliance Requirement:
This role supports systems and data governed by U.S. export control regulations. Candidates must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR requirements, including:
