Embark on a transformative journey as a Supplier Operations Group Lead at Barclays, where the focus is on redefining the future of banking through innovative solutions. In this role, you will lead a team of AVP Service Managers responsible for managing critical third-party vendor relationships across payments, fulfillment, and operational services. You will act as a key escalation point between vendors and internal stakeholders - including Contact Center, Marketing, Technology and Audit teams - while serving as the subject matter expert on vendor capabilities and internal governance standards.
The role is critical in ensuring effective issue management, successful delivery of strategic projects, and ongoing compliance with regulatory and bank requirements.
To be successful as a Supplier Operations Group Lead, you should have:
Experience leading and managing a team, including overseeing performance, providing guidance, supporting development, and ensuring delivery against objectives
Ability to manage third-party vendor relationships, including monitoring service delivery, tracking performance, resolving issues, and maintaining effective working relationships with external partners
Exposure within the financial services industry, with operational processes, risk management, and regulatory and governance requirements

Demonstrated ability interfacing with Auditors, representing processes and work delivered by others
Proven ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously, balancing varying levels of complexity, deadlines, and shifting priorities
Exposure to third-party vendor contract reviews
Ability to analyze trends, independently identify potential or emerging issues and drive resolution of production incidents
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing messaging for senior management

Purpose of the roleTo support change delivery managers in the delivery of successful projects, while ensuring that project management processes and practices are aligned with controls and governance standards and that projects are aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives.
Accountabilities- Support to change delivery managers, ensuring their programme is compliant with the Barclays Control Framework, including oversight of controls and governance standards.
- Creation and implementation of standardised PMO processes and methodologies that are aligned with controls and governance standards and that support the delivery of successful projects..
- Monitoring of project performance, including tracking of project progress, identification of risks assumptions, issues and dependencies, and creation of report on project status to senior management.
- Support of project documentation, including maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensuring that project documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
- Facilitation of project governance, including ensuring that projects are aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives, and that project risks assumptions, issues and dependencies are managed effectively.
- Provision of change management framework training to project managers and other stakeholders, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver successful projects..
- Continuous improvement of project management practices, including identification of areas for improvement and implementation of changes to improve project delivery.
