Up to $150,000 per year
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to join our growing operations team in Wilmington, Delaware. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of working three days per week in the office and two days remotely while playing a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing stock levels, and supporting business performance.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience managing inventory across multiple locations, and the ability to collaborate effectively with supply chain, procurement, warehouse, and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records across warehouses and distribution locations.
- Conduct inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze inventory trends and provide recommendations to improve stock utilization and reduce carrying costs.
- Develop and monitor inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Generate inventory performance reports and KPIs for leadership review.
- Support forecasting, demand planning, and inventory optimization initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory management standards.
- Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of inventory control, supply chain, warehouse, or operations experience.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience managing high‑volume inventory environments.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- APICS/CPIM certification or similar inventory management credentials.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, or other enterprise ERP systems.
- Background in manufacturing, distribution, retail, or logistics operations.
- Advanced reporting and data analysis skills.
