Head of Fraud Operations

Lead and develop a high-performing fraud operations team responsible for identifying, preventing, and mitigating fraud across all banking channels, including digital, retail, and commercial. This role plays a pivotal part in protecting the organization’s assets, customers, and reputation by driving operational excellence, applying advanced analytics, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field
• 10+ years in fraud management, financial crime, or risk operations
• 5+ years in a leadership role

• Strategic Leadership: Design and implement fraud operations strategies aligned with the company’s risk appetite and regulatory obligations, including FINTRAC and OSFI requirements.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee daily fraud monitoring, investigation, and response activities, ensuring prompt escalation and resolution of high-risk cases.
• People Leadership: Recruit, lead, mentor, and scale a team of fraud analysts, investigators, and operations specialists to build a strong, sustainable fraud function.
• Compliance & Reporting: Maintain compliance with anti-fraud policies, audit standards, and regulatory mandates. Deliver clear, data-driven reporting to executives on fraud trends, losses, and mitigation effectiveness.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Customer Service, and Product teams to ensure fraud prevention strategies support broader business objectives.
