Mitigation Manager - Disaster Restoration
We are an established disaster restoration company serving the Wilmington community. We restore homes and businesses after storms and unexpected water, fire or mold issues. We are currently in search of a Mitigation Manager to lead operations, oversee project delivery, coordinate crews, and maintain strong relationships with customers and insurance partners. The Mitigation Manager will drive operational excellence through project management, quality control, and staff development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage mitigation operations for water, storm, fire and mold restoration projects, ensuring timely and effective response and recovery.
- Supervise, mentor, and schedule mitigation technicians and project staff; hire, train, and develop teams to meet operational goals.
- Oversee Mitigation Project Management activities: assess job scope, set priorities, assign tasks, and ensure completion to company standards.
- Manage Mitigation Operations Management duties including resource allocation, equipment readiness, and logistics for rapid deployment.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices on all job sites.
- Monitor project budgets, track job profitability, control costs, and report operational metrics to leadership.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience having operational oversight of a mitigation department.
- Strong staff leadership skills with experience supervising and developing mitigation teams.
- Strong technical mitigation experience with the ability to lead crews.
- Proficiency with Xactimate.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to work with homeowners, commercial clients, and insurance adjusters.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide oversight of multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
- IICRC Certification (e.g., WRT, ASD) strongly preferred but not required.
