Project Manager (Financial Services)
We are seeking an experienced project manager with a banking and financial services background to lead our project delivery organization and drive strategic initiatives across the enterprise. This senior leadership role will oversee a portfolio of complex, cross-functional projects while building and mentoring a high-performing team of project managers.
Key Responsibilities- Define project vision and align initiatives with overall business strategy
- Oversee portfolio of projects, ensuring appropriate prioritization and resource allocation
- Lead, mentor, and develop project managers and cross-functional teams
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives
- Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and develop contingency plans
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to maximize ROI
- Establish and enforce project management standards, methodologies, and best practices
- Lead organizational change initiatives and drive adoption of new processes and systems
- Conduct project reviews, audits, and post-implementation evaluations
- Provide regular updates and reports to executive leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years of project management experience with at least 5 years leading project managers
- Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional, multi-million-dollar projects
- Mastery of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Lean, Six Sigma)
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification
- Strong financial acumen with budgeting and cost control experience
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Experience leading organizational change initiatives
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Asana)
- Master's degree or MBA
- Agile/Scrum or Change Management certification
- Experience establishing PMO functions
- Strategic thinking and ability to align projects to business outcomes
- Strong leadership and ability to influence without direct authority
- Analytical problem-solving and data-driven decision making
- Executive presence and excellent communication skills
- Results-oriented with focus on quality and accountability
